Ethics of ∆

What we do has an impact on the web of systems connected to us, whether or not we are aware or intending of those effects. Intentionality may help focus those effects, but what are our intentions based on? Well, looking to nature, sustained harmony stands out as the pattern that emerges as n→ ∞.

Therefore we ought to orient our actions and analyses in terms of sustainable harmony. This requires looking beyond the immediate impact of an action to see the potential ripples and how they contribute or not to the greater equilibrium of our environment. This is complicated in human contexts because so much of our existing systems have not been implemented with this ideology, and the equilibrium of these systems does not correlate with the equilibrium of surrounding, more macro systems. We then have a duty to temporarily disrupt the equilibrium of these misaligned systems so that we may reorient them properly around sustainable harmony.
